Graf Zeppelin Class In OOB

Hi there all, just a quick question and I appologise for creating a new thread for it if that is the wrong thing to do.

In the Kriegsmarine list (p.58) is has the Graf Zeppelin listed as a Battle choice whereas in the VaS book it is a Raid choice and yet this isn't mentioned at the top of the same OOB page where Errata from VaS is covered.

I have read DMs unoffical errata document and it is not convered in there either so I was wondering if anyone else had noticed this and/or knows what the resolution is?

Dunno. In the absence of more information my default approach would be to assume that the fleet lists in OOB are the correct ones.

Raid does seem low for a Carrier and with the new aircraft rules I'd assume OOB is correct.

Hi Hunter! There are several cases where they dont mention the change at the top of the Fleet list but then change it below in the PL sections.

Most of the carriers went up a level (not all but most).

I too have been assuming where they are listed in the OOB breakdown is correct and have changed thier PL accordingly.

Casablanca class. You buy 3 Hellcats for a Skirmish point and get a free escort carrier and 2 Avengers to go with it. That's one hell of a manufacturer's rebate!

It should probably be a Raid level pick.

Which are certainly a few of the reasons why I thought that Battle was high for a carrier with 7 flights. Even with a torpedo belt.

Anyone else got an opinion? DM?

Not from me. As many readers here know I dislike the PL system with a vengeance (although i quite understand why its there - I just don't like points systems in games in general).

In the main I left the establishment of PLs to the rest of the developers.

Looking at comparable carriers, I would put the Graf at a Raid choice, a game master made that decision recently and I agree with it.
