Got Elric and the Elric companion, question.

Are any of the other Elric RPG books kind of "Essential" to run an Elric campaign?

I've owned pretty much every edition of the Elric/Stormbringer RPGs since the original boxed edition way back in the 80s

Just recently I bought the Elric core and companion.

I'm thinking the magic of young kingdoms is a must have as well, but not sure.

Oh, first post BTW, and HI, been a Michael Moorcock fan since I was 16, which was a LONG time ago.

Hi there!

You can run a campaign with just the main rules easily enough. The Companion has some more depth, which you may find useful, and Magic has a great deal of additional and optional sorcerous info if your characters are intent on selling their souls.

Cults of the YK is being written as we speak. This book extends the cult descriptions from the main rules and introduces a number of new cults not linked directly to Law and Chaos, and will provide detail on the Sorcerer Adventurers of Quazhasaat and the Mereghn sect of Bakshaan. Again, its not essential to a campaign, but will be good for added depth.

Hope this helps.

Heh, sounds like the magic book is essential then.
The last time I ran Elric/Stormbringer most of the players wanted to sell their souls...lol--
