GM's Handbook questions

Couple of quick questions from the GM's handbook

1. I couldn't find the MP cost for summoning elementals. Have I missed it?
2. There's a comment made about crystals and other devices but I can't find the section? Did I miss something?
(My copy is a PDF so it is possible that I have some missing text.)

Also, the write-up for binding seems off to me. E.g. A Master summoner with 100% Persistence wishes to bind the POW 17 example given. This requires 6 opposed rolls of 100% vs 85% - meaning the summoner has just under a 4% chance of succeeding. Seems rather low but I guess explains why binding is not a normal career option. (As another example, a Persistence 120% master summoner facing a lowly POW 12 demon has just a 20% chance of successfully binding it without being rather royally rogered.)

No. I can't find it either and I've looked in the print versions of the GM's Handbook, Monsters 1, and Spells.

Could someone at Mongoose please provide these MP costs?

Hmmm... I'd thought I'd included Elementhal MP costs, but checking my own copy of the GMs' Handbook, it seems not explicitly. It is quite simple.

Elementals are measured in terms of their SIZ (see RQ Deluxe or Monsters I). Each point of SIZ equates to 1MP summoning cost. And yes - this does mean that elementals can be summoned with some quite frightening abilities for a relatively low MP cost...

Thanks for that. Just to be annoying I guess I should mention that summoning elementals in Cults Vol II has a different cost (1 MP per POW of elemental and elemental has 1D6 POW per point of SIZ).

Well, since this is already in print and it could have the same effect as using SIZ (assuming the POW roll is low), using 1 MP per POW is close enough for me.
