[GK Games] News and Reviews

That really is a good picture! When will we hear more about the new book it's going into? Also, with the new version of Traveller wrapping up, do you have a timeline in mind for updating your existing GKG material?

These things are actually related. That art is part of Anderson and Felix 2nd Edition which is in the final production stages now. In case you (or someone else reading this) are not aware, this link will take you to our blog post where we discuss our plans.

As for timing, I'm afraid I cannot say. Right now, the process of creating the SRD and the license under which we work has yet to even get started. However, once the SRD and license are out there, we will be in a better position to give you a timeline.

As it stands now, we're already at the starting gate and anxious for the starter's gun!

Ron McClung over at The Gamer's Codex has posted an excellent review of Ships of Clement Sector 2: Vulkan-class Attack Boat Tender. If you'd like to read what Ron had to say about the second in our Ships of Clement Sector series, just click on this link.

Thanks Ron!

In addition to being a gaming guest at Chattacon (Jan 29-31), I will also be running games at ConNooga. ConNooga is Feb 19-21 in Chattanooga, TN.

Gaming will be located at the historic Read House Hotel.

If you are in the area or can make it to the convention, we'd love to see you. I'll be running three Traveller games in the GKG Clement Sector setting (one Friday night and two on Saturday) and I'll have print books available for purchase.

Hope to see you there!

For anyone who is going to be at Chattacon this weekend, you'll be able to find me in the American train car. I'll be running Clement Sector style Traveller Friday night, Saturday afternoon, and Saturday night.

In addition, I'll have hard copies of all of the GKG books to sell for those interested in purchasing.

“See that point of light, brighter than the rest? That is home for us out here amongst the rocks spinning through the black. Sure we have the cutters, but over there on the Courtland is more room to move, more people to talk to and better meals than old Crace ever cooked on this tub of a cutter.” - Elias Thomas, belter on mining cutter 2 “Annie Joy”, Sequoyah Mining Co., Sequoyah, c2338 CE

Ships of Clement Sector 12 coming soon.

A comparison chart for several civilian vessels common to Clement Sector. There is a hint as to GKG's final MgT 1e product in the picture.

Yesterday, I posted the civilian version of this chart. Today, I post a comparison chart of various military vessels seen in Clement Sector. As with yesterday's chart, you may note a hint concerning the contents of Gypsy Knights Games' upcoming Ships of Clement Sector 12.

Haha, that's awesome! I looked at yesterday's ship and though "hm, I bet that could be converted to carry troops/mercenaries/raiders"

Looks big! Somewhere around 800-1,000 dtons?

Gotta say, the belting module for cutters sparked my interest and made me dig up my beltstrike book, the Goldrush nearly sparked a campaign simply by being there, and now... Wow, looking forward to the next book :)

So, when's it due? :)

Outstanding!

We're hoping to get it out there by the end of the month.

I just wanted to take a moment and remind everyone that I will be at ConNooga next weekend. The convention is in Chattanooga, TN and runs Feb 19-21. Hopefully, I will see you there!

I will be running three Clement Sector-style Traveller games there and will have our print books on hand for those who would like to purchase.

You can find out more about the convention at the link.

I will be running three Clement Sector games using the Mongoose 1e rules at ConNooga this weekend. For those interested in ConNooga, follow this link: http://www.connooga.com/

The games are:

8pm Friday- Redemption in the Making - The crew of the MV Tiamat, well-known as "problem solvers", have been approached by a woman who wishes to clear her husband's name. It would seem that her husband had been a pirate for a short time and stole a large sum of money. She wants the characters to help her locate the money, return it to the owners and clear her husband's name.

Can the characters help her?

1pm Saturday- Futility and Hubris - the crew of the MV Tiamat, well-known as "problem solvers", have been hired by a small company to hunt down a man who has stolen some valuable property. This thief has boarded a cruise ship heading out of the system. The company wants to put the characters on board the cruise ship to monitor and then capture this thief and recover the stolen property. Other than that, it should be a peaceful cruise.

Are the characters up for it?

8pm Saturday- On the Master's Trail - The characters have been approached by a man named Andrew Maitland. Maitland will explain that they are members of a new religion, the Obedient, who show their devotion to the Great Master by enduring not only enforced hardship but also by remaining solitary. These seven men, along with five others and members of their family, have an unarmed Atlas-class freighter named The Master’s Trail which they are using as a colony vessel.

The Obedient have chosen an uninhabited world in the CXD-305 system for their new home. However, the route is filled with all manner of dangers. Can the characters protect the colonists?

And, for those interested in making a purchase, I will also have hard copies of our titles with me as well.

Hope to see you there!

Will this be using the new 2nd edition rules?

Thanks,

My bad. Perhaps I should learn to read the post carefully before posting. I'll slink off in shame now.

Not at this convention. We'll probably switch over after we are allowed to publish our 2e version of Clement Sector.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry for asking what you had already stated.
