I can't believe this topic actually came up! I'm so glad the GF still tops the pole. If it wasn't I'd nearly have to give up SST out of shame! Shame on you guys who picked SST. It's this atitude that give us gamers a bad rap. For the record, I've never had a Girl Friend that was really interested in Gaming but there's many out there who are happy to look at the cool figures. My ex I actualy met in a GW store I worked at. GOd damn it. Minitures are little peices of plastic or metal. I've never, in my 10 years+ of gaing, seen a minature that can do even HALF the things my GF can do. I recon that the people who voted for SST must be the people who have never had, and will never have, a Girl Friend. Otherwise I don't see how you could argue the point. I will say again, If ANYONE can show me a minature that is as fun as my GF, I'll take em out on the drink for a night.

IF you enjoy gaming, and your girlfriend gets in the way, either by whining about your hobby or your choice of friends, then why cave in?
As I mention you can always find a new girlfriend. Most girlfriends I had when I was young never lasted more than a few dates anyhow. Now I did have friends that happened to be girls, but that was different, they excepted me as I was. One of the became my wife later, and still is.
Looking back, I had MORE fun being myself, rather that conforming to anothers wishes, just to get a piece. Give me a break. Shame on YOU for selling out.

I think i'm quite lucky in that my othere 'alf is also into gameing. Mostly she's into Role-play, esp. B5. She thinks mini gameing is cool but dose'nt play as she's not tacticly minded.

Have to say I have a very understanding wife of 28 years now. Lets me spend my allowance on game stuff without any real complaints. She plays occasional card games etc. but I may get her to play SST.
She really hates bugs of any kind, so I am working on her to get her to play MI, that way she can kill lots of bugs!!!
Seriously she is almost Phobic, so I really have to make my bugs color patterns look realistic.
Just have to keep rolled up newspapers and fly-swatters away from her, otherwise my warrior bugs could suffer serious traumas. :roll: :roll: :roll:

I've discovered the joys of not having a joint bank account...

Wow well since my mesage on front page i can add some more spice to this.
after a seperation of like 10 months, i got back into the dating game, i wouldnt say women are a dime a dozen, as im trying for the classy ones !
sofar the best i can do is 2 girls a week, but this is part of an exsperiment for a book im doing on 21st century wenching.
mst girls in their late 20s and beyond are very tollerant of hobbies, infact your be amazed how many do kniting, only the other week i had 2 GF's over at mine (i realy should keep a diary) and i was sat inbetween them as they started talking about kniting !!!!
hobbys are important to any relationship, as it keeps you busy when the girl is not around, girls like guys who arnt always available for them, its sorta the why do girls like B***ards.
i tried the having 2 girls at once thing, but its alot of hard work (fun) but when neither are available you think about gettin a 3rd.... this is realy were hobbys should step in at this point. ive realid my hobby of womanising, although fun is alot of mental hard work and pressure.
ive also hit a revalation that many girls out there have very full lives so guys can feel left out, and youd be suprised how many girls like the idea of just a F*** buddy, as it means they can get on with their lives and you can have yours with the good stuff and none of the mesy relationship stuff, i have found this is mostly girls in their 30s though.
so this is all good for us guys
basicly get a girlan still do your hobby or find a powerful outside intrest so you can cancle on her, ive found a guy whos always there for his girl has a very short relationship, while a guy hard to pin down will enjoy a longer period with said girl.
and my big tip for chatin up girls
strangers are just people who we havnt met yet.
for those out there that have less to no luck with women, a great system that works is called the wilderbeast effect, this is like watchin a lion, when he goese for the wilderbeast he goese for the lame ones or the slow ones, this is the same with womanising, there eaiser to catch and far moe apreitiative of the attentions, an some times they turn out to be stuners later on or to have the most amazin body under that geky head and missing leg !
the othe system is called friendly scatter gun (my fave) were you just go and randomly make small convrsation with every girl you see and would consider dating, and then walk of,, then later on your bump into them again, and you already have history and you get a bit more conversation going, on 3rd - 4th time get a number.
ok noe people will hate me or love me for all this, but these are just my findings.
