Getting paid to watch SST

Greg Smith

Mongoose
Tonight we had an Indy late show. As projectionist I was required to sit in the projection room and babysit the projectors. But with only one late show there was nothing to do but wait for the film to finish and be there in case of a breakdown.

So what did I do - watch Starship Troopers on TV. :D

Now I'm home and the end is on as I type this.

The madness is spreading!!! Looks like sterlisation by nuclear device could be the only option to save the human race!

Maybe they're talking about some other sequel, one unknown to the rest of humankind? Or they were REALLY drunk when watching it?

I liked the tension, the gradual infestation of the guys trapped in the bunker, the paranoia, and the charcaters were suprisingly well defined. It was a very different movie to the first, it lacked the black comedy of the first, but it wasn't a bad movie.

Supposedly the first was supposed to feel like WWII, the second felt like Korea, and the third is meant to feel like Vietnam. Should be interesting.

First one felt tacky and unimpressive

The second actually felt like WWI

I liked the second one... in fact I liked it way better then the first one.
