Getting into Dragon Warriors - any hints?

yeah fair call random code...just a grumpy day for the troll. Buy the game, love it, hell even play it...

No worries matey, we all have grumpy days! I was disappointed with this news when I heard. There's a lot of scope for developing DW beyond what's been done and I think as the IP is returning to the original owners we could see that happen. Well, maybe, I'm not going to hold my breath!

Haha, just downloaded it, again. I deleted the thing after I bought the books, thinking I didn't need it anymore. I never even realized there was an adventure there...

Tricky bastards...

It is a very short adventure, but a good sidequest for the group to gain some extra XP. I will change the adventure, that Father Corbin is the missing abt and that he has already been slained by the old ogre. But because of Father Corbins curse, they will meet him again later in a tavern in Norham. Maybe the group will also meet Rocelin the Minstrel. If they treat him well, he will record their further adventures in songs and poems. He can also tell them the story of Father Corbin if the might ask him.

Oh, and i skipped all the magic items at the end of "Under the Rocks".

Looks like your getting a lot of use out of FoF, excellent!

Though I can't see your group running into my dear Lady anytime soon. :)

Sorry - but ... "my dear lady"? What do you mean?

And Yes ... FoF is one of my favourite book of the whole DW line. Whithout any skills and just some (very fine) basic rules, i have to show my players that sometimes it is not always just about the stats. I´m trying to give the world a "living" feeling.

Tuanku is mine. :)

Ah - i see. :) Well, i had a look at him but for the moment he is too far away to be of any use for my campaign. But maybe later. It is a nice character indeed. :o

BTW - we finished "The King under the Forest" yesterday after two gaming sessions. At the end, nearly the whole group was down to 1 Health Point and two characters lost a Fate Point. Good deadly classic adventure with a nice ending. We will go in with "A Shadow on the Mist" soon.

I'm going through it at the moment as a PLAYER!!!!!

Yes thats a lot of !!!!! but bear in mind I've been running DW for over twenty years and this is only the third time I've actually gotten to PLAY!

Though I think our knight is going to get us killed.......

@bulya
have fun with it! :D this game can be really deadly without fate points.

another question in generel:

does a backpack count as an item for encumbrance? i mean yes, but for two of my players this doesn´t make any sense.

I don't think its ever come up( my guys tend to travel light anyway), but normal clothing doesn't so I can see a case for it not counting.

Now a modern steelframe pack, I'd say yes.
