I apologize if I'm missing something and this has been asked, but do we know if there are any SF events/demos planned for GenCon?

I'll be at Gencon working the Mongoose booth doing demos of SF, possibly some JD.

Will there be any sign of ACtA:NA at the event, also?

(I won't be down to see it, myself; but I was wondering if there were plans to show off the print edition for Fleets of the Fading Suns or not.)

Not me personally - ACTA:NA and ACTA:SF may share the same parents mechanically but I'm not going to grab a book when the doors open Thursday morning and hope to get the basics down. I just don't do things that way.

I don't know the full plans of Matt and the crew so they might be... only Matt can say.

I was hoping for an ACTA event, but I didn't see anything specific in the registry. I would offer to run a table or two (I have enough scenery for a full-size table, plus plenty of ships for folks to use), but I'm still not 100% sure I'll be going.

Allerka,

If you're going to Gencon and know you can get tables to run events etc... being a member of the MI will at least get you a little something for your efforts.

Go to the demo team page (http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/demoteams.htm ), download the troopers kit, and follow the instructions inside (I believe the 'welcome' pdf is what you want).

Unfortunately, my plans have fallen through. I was going to carpool with a friend, but he decided even splitting a hotel room would be too expensive, so I can't afford it.

I will, however, check this out and use it to push ACTA:SF games at the NOVA Open in D.C., which is also later this month. If not this year, then next year for sure. I'm still trying to convince the TOs there that ACTA is more than a niche game (and this year works out really well because I can't participate in the full Warhammer 40,000 tournament due to scheduling conflicts).
