Just checked it out. That is very intresting. Think they know something we dont?
I hope so.
I could really dig getting a new Manta for my "alter of worship" as an old x-girlfriend termed it.
Everybody else just calls it a display case.
Cheers,

I spoke with Matt Sprange at the Salute show last weekend and he said it would cost about £50. They also had a couple of pictures of the components they were planning to use and it looked exactly how a Manta should.

My only concern will be the scale and how it looks compared to 28mm figures but thats a minor quibble compared to the fact that someone is actually making a MANTA!!!!!

If it is going to be the size of a Baneblade I think it will look just fine.

Other wise it would be the size of a map board like most H wagons they show. If I remeber my tech refernces right.

We _have_ cheated a little and altered the scale somewhat. If we did it 'true scale,' it would end up about two feet long, be too big to game with, and test the wallet of even the most ardent Judge Dredd fan.

However, the compromise was to make it superheavy tank (Baneblade) size, so it 'looks right' on the table top. And if anyone complains, it has enough firepower to respond in a positive manner!

...which, combined with Mr. Sprange's mention of size, brings us to my remaining prime concern - somebody may be making a Manta but nobody looks to be selling the Manta as of yet.

That sort of thing is a given when representing large vehicles and buildings in miniature games. Its all about where you guys made the decision to alter the scale more or less so that the overall impression feels right, rather than a decrease in size everywhere.

Baneblade dimensions sounds perfect to me. I cant wait.
