Hello All,

I have been here for a year now and enjoyed being close to Mongoose HQ by living in Fairford. I love Babylon 5 and would enjoy getting together with any folks in the area who would like to have a couple players, myself and my wife. Let me know if that works for anyone.

I do not know nayone, but I would say that you should try to get to some of the open days to meet people. Maybe elaborate a bit more in the title of the post or request a pm.

And many thanks for that King Mongoose. Much appreciated. Be looking forward to the B5 and Starship Troopers day. Though I am surprised that there will be no Conan Open Day around October kind of an in sync with the Age of Conan thing coming out. But just a thought.

Well that is just a planned list, some of those dates are TBC, and nothing says they can't add more events or swap some out as the year progresses.

Do Mongoose ever do RPG events at open days? I knokw they did the B5 game.
Honk if you want the Governator in a Conan RPG at Mongoose Tower.

Heh, yeah that would be awesome!

But with the talks of the Conan movie going on, I recently saw someone who I think would be a good new Conan...John Cena...if you happen to see the movie marine. He did good with the acting part, and has a youthful appearence as well as muscled but not overly so body...very good choice I think for this gen's next Conan movie.
 
I heard they wanted Arnie to do a tiny cameo as Conans' father in the first new movie.
I think originally with the conan movies they were gonig to make a few, but stopped because they were happy with their profits from the first two, but that could be wrong.
 
Yeah, Arnold was originally contracted for 5, but after the second one bombed he pulled out. The director of "The Destroyer" thought that Arnold should show more skin, and thought of it as more of a sword an socerey movie and pretty much killed it from there.
The talks going on for the new movie were trying to get Arnold to appear as King Conan, which is what the movie was to be called, but havent heard much more on that. Personally I think they should just continue with the young Conan and get Milius to do the directing again.
 
Next time you go to an open day try and get a contact list or go to a LGS and ask if they are running some. I do not think they do enough RPGing open days. Maybe one or two days a year with some mad many session events over a day.
 
I remember that day, a loud cheer went up at the EA end of the table. One of the Mongoose staffers asked "Have the EA destroyed a Minbari ship?"

I replied "No, but the Orion starbase just made it's stealth check!"
