I'm a little put off by the airbrushed/painted finish of the mats

The person setting up second can instantly guage distance to bring his long-range stuff on the board where he can smoke his opponent's short-range stuff on turn 1. Other than this, the grid is very nice once play begins. Just adds a bigger emphasis on the first die roll of the game.

The website is godawful, but the products are very impressive, and seem quite reasonably priced considering it's high-quality materials, pre-painted and such.
