Full Thrust ships in NA ACTA ?

Stu--

Just wondering if anyone has done any conversions from the Full Thrust ships in the fleet books to Noble armada stats?

not seen any - some nice looking ship (pity they don't show them properely on their website ;( )

Project for you? ;)

Yeah I have a hundred quids worth of NSL, too..
I actually quite like the 'full thrust universe' as it were.

Maybe I will have a go at creating some stats..

Is there a guide anywhere on how to point up new designs?

no not really - look at the ships already and compare and contrast with your conversions - try them out in the game.

it can be great fun :)

Could be excellent way to add bit more variety on the fighting styles. Main fleets tend to be broadside volley fleets. How about a fleet or two who have main guns pointing forward?

If you can get hold of it, the original NA rulebook had a design system in it. Given that each weapon in original NA is 1 weapon system/dice in ACTA:NA, and the points are very similiar this might be one way to 'port the ships across. A certain amount of comparison between existing ships would be required for the turns and speed, however. Damage points and thresholds have a definite link between the 2 systems (can't remember exactly how much it is - but it's easy to work out) - so they could be easily done. NA ships (of both systems) have precise rules on how many and what size of turrets and weapons may be fitted in place on the size of ships, so these would remain the same.
