Free Epic Campaign - The Pirates of Drinax

Oh, and is Dr. Darke supposed to be Wily from Megaman? You know, the opposite of Dr. Light?

Actually, he's inspired by one of of my wife's maths lecturers, who had a gloriously pulp-evil-mastermind name.

On one occasion, he's giving a maths lecture. He writes some complicated equation on the board and starts working with it, narrating as he goes. "And from this it is obvious that <SOMETHING COMPLICATED> is equal to <SOMETHING ELSE COMPLICATED>."

He stops. Takes a step back. "But is it obvious?" He pauses.

He waits. He thinks.

He walks out of the lecture theatre. Walks down the corridor. Five minutes past. He walks back again, deep in thought, then strides resolutely back to his podium.

"Yes, it is obvious", he declares, and continues on.

LMAO *applauds* Yup. Definitely a maths teacher. I thought it was only mine that used to do things like that!

Just Nuke the world from orbit.
Whats the worst that could happen?

Large amounts of stray radiation in the vicinity of a bunch of mad scientists' pet TL15+ projects? Just about anything.

After all, if movies and comics have taught us anything, it's that it's an established fact that massive overdoses of non-specific radiation give you awesome superpowers rather than, say, lymphoma.

Thank you.

I am running Pirates and some spillover one offs in the Goertal subsector so all helps.

Would like to see some background information as well as the core adventures.

You'll know as soon as we do :) Gareth is a little bsy wthhis twins at the moment, but I am sure he will be back on the case soon enough!

Ooooh....shiny.

An almost perfectly visually correct representation of the Harrier, aside from a few missing PAW holes and the lack of a seriously annoyed squad of battle-dress clad Aslan marines on the port wing*.

Seriously, a very nice graphic. Hull traceries do a lot to stop the ships looking bland.

* Don't ask. Let's just say that we've gotten as far as Ihatei! and the plan did not work as well as expected.

We have had about two month's of play, and have yet to start the first scenario :)

Excellent news. I'm looking forward to this - so far it's easily one of the best campaigns that Mongoose has ever published.
