Food production on Space stations (and ships!)

If 2 girls show up in the thread I am going to ask mods to close it immediately.
I would comment on the likelihood of finding one girl on the Traveller forum, but it is not the Seventies any more.

Ok, this thread just took a strange turn.

As for the original topic, are any of you old enough to remember these?

They look like Dvora rations.
To be honest, I liked them. They were sold as food the astronauts used. I even remember having a Lunar Rover they sent you if you sent in enough labels. Ate plenty that summer. :D

Ok, the topic of space food seems tainted now. :|

As for food in space, you could just order delivery....

ok, I admit, I am curious. I would like to try a few of those. Are they Gummy like a Gummy Bear or soft like frosting? What texture and flavor do they have?

As for feeding the hungry, you would be shocked what someone will eat if they are hungry enough. :D

The Baron looked around the hall. He gestured. His Equerry materialised at his side.
'I was supposed to meet with the spacers this evening, Timmins,' he murmured, nodding and smiling as the Viscountess Morgana floated past in her expensive carnival float of a dress. 'I have no idea what they look like.'
'I have a fairly good idea, my Lord,' Timmins replied, pointing to the younger men in cheap suits, fawning and cooing over the fresh fruits on the buffet table.
'I was a spacer once, my Lord,' Timmins said. 'Six months with nothing to eat but dry protein bars. Those chaps over there are your spacers. I would put money on it.'

It wouldn't just be Kaylee who does an eyeroll when they eat a strawberry.
