That may be impractical. When I packaged those books for Mongoose as a freelancer, I usually sent them camera-ready .PDFs, not the original files they'd need to produce updated versions. I still have those files, but format incompatibilities could make conversion potentially awkward.

Too bad… Extreme Paranoia is IMO among the best of the XP-era supplements, and contains information not present anywhere in the current line.

This all makes me wonder where the line is headed — a thought that echoes an earlier thread — now that the only book that has been announced is Gareth's The Great Outdoors.

I dream of a campaign… Beyond the Corridors of Madness ?

So... what happened? Got my copy of Redux Redux yesterday and no Alpha Complexities, Das Bot, Trouble With Cockroaches or Send in the Clones, but instead My First Treason, which was in the last Redux book. Those are all still listed in the product description on the website... rights issues?

Little bummed to have paid that much for a book, only to have a big chunk of the announced contents missing and replaced with something I'd already bought.

I must admit I haven't seen a copy of this yet (they haven't arrived in the UK), but what you say has had us scrabbling around trying to find out why this happened. I am afraid, at this time, we have not got a good answer and can only apologise deeply.

What I can say is that we stand behind and, more importantly, guarantee all of our products. If you are not happy with this book, we will replace it with something else no matter where you bought it. If you bought it directly from us, we will of course provide a full refund.

Once again, apologies for this, and we will continue looking into it.

Don't see any of the ones you mentioned, I'm not saying you're wrong, just saying what I see.

Seems particularly silly to have My First Treason in both the Redux books though!

That's the flaw. Originally, it was different having these missions:

Send in the Clones

And you can still see evidence of this old list of material here. Wayback Machine does not have an archive of this website advertising Redux Redux otherwise I'd show it to you, but there was a much larger list of material out there.

Actually, it's a good thing that Mongoose changed the list of material on the Redux Redux page because it means that people now know what is actually in the book, and not be led by mistaken impressions as the old list conveyed.

According to Wikipedia, all four missions which have "disappeared" (two short ones and two standard length) had already been republished in the XP Flashbacks, so it is not a matter of redoing the layout…

I smell treason… :twisted:

Okay, we have sort of sorted this out, just getting all our ducks in a line. There will be an official announcement on Monday, all going well, but for now, rest assured that anyone who has Redux redux, no matter where you purchase it, will get the missing material, in printed format.

More news next week along with, no doubt, some excuses involving mutants, commies and traitors...
