Finally going to get some games in (model query)

Hi all, loving the rules for Dredd and can't wait to actually start playing. I have ordered Dredd, Anderson, a tek judger and the mechanismo mk1 models (because they are all just awesome!)

How are the `counts as` rules in this? I want to get to grips with the basic rules first and plan on using mechanismo as a `counts as` street judge rather than using the proper rules for him, would this generally be ok in this game or is it really a WYSIWYG type of game?

Yep, friendly games you can of course but against new people how would this be? Any thoughts?

If it's a friendly game and you establish ahead of time that you may not have a certain model I'm sure it's fine. With new players I find having the representation on your model is really important though. I tend to come across new players who have a gang of punks where the model has a pistol yet they are all carrying bazookas and having a "what you see is what you get" approach makes for much less confusing games.

Thanks for the input, going to run the mechanismo as intended I think- the rules are great and I may use them as an add on to my judge force.
