Fighters and Stealth

I just wanted to make sure I understood a couple of the 2e rules correctly. The Anti-Fighter stat ignores a fighter's Dodge ability within that 2" range. Does a ship still have to roll for a lock-on when Anti-Fighter defenses target a fighter with Stealth, such as the Nial?

And, if so, does it get the -1 to the 'difficulty' because the fighter is within 8" of it (or whatever the new Stealth rule specifically states)?

Thanks much!

"It should be noted that the Anti-Fighter and Advanced Anti-Fighter traits are not counted as weapons for the purposes of these rules and will not be affected by ... traits on fighters, such as Stealth."

Gotcha, thanks for the clarification. I must have missed that line.

On the topic of fighters, the suicide fighters of the Dilgar and the Gaim; all anti-fighter defenses get a free shot at the kamikaze fighters BEFORE they crash into the hull, right?
