Fall of Tanith follow on

So I'm starting two new Traveller players on the Fall of Tanith campaign this afternoon. I chose that setting for two reasons: a] it doesn't have the learning curve of the base OTU and b] gives me some room to a little IMTU work of my own. But Tanith does end at a 'Battlestar Galactica' type cliffhanger.
So, are there any plans to expand Calidan Sector and the Esseray campaign at all? Or do I use some of the tools in Deepnight to run the 'flight from the Esseray' part and sort out my own continuation from there?
 
I don't have an answer, but I would be very interested in how your start turns out. I decided against using the Fall of Tanith to start my campaign, because it seemed very combat-heavy for an intro game, so I'd very much like to know how that worked for you and your group.

The players will get a few sessions of merchant trading and maybe a patron before the hammer falls 8)
One of the players already owns the Starter Set, so I'll have to mix quite a bit other things into the campaign anyway.
The way I'll work it is that characters have just arrived in the subsector with their Type A2 Far Trader. They'll have a chance to see some of the subsector and then we'll go into the campaign narrative. Once Tinath concludes, I'll probably have the characters and their ship act as an exploratory ship as the Exodus Fleet [three asteroid ships and whatever other ships are left] looks for a place far enough from the Esseray to settle. That part's up in the air a bit.
