I was wondering how this would be worked out?

Take the modern retelling and compare them to the older versions perhaps even the originals.

Which would come across better in a Mongoose Legend game system?

How would you stat out a Fairy Godmother? :shock:

Been wondering does anyone have the rights to a Grimm rpg?

And since I've been watching Journey 2 The Mysterious Island would the classic stories of yesteryear made a good premise for a Mongoose Legend setting?

I could separate this from the Fairy Tail part but Legendary Stories seems to encompass both and I wondered whether they truly need to be separated at all?

Sort of. Fantasy Flight do an RPG called Grimm, it's not based on the TV series (assuming that's what you're referring to) but there's lots of room for confusion.

There are awesome fairy tales available on net.. The Brothers Grimm & Grey Fairy Book (1900), Pretty Fairy tale books..

Hmm I was thinking being able to grant wishes with conditions ala Disney but that I suspect isn't in the original, character wise I imagine someone able to cast polymorph other into a harmless animal or plant might be a good start although I was imagining a woman being threatened by a group of mercenaries and she points a finger and yells, "PUPPIES!" which results in a group of mixed breed puppies wetting their newly discarded clothing/armour/stuff but I'd involve the emotional state of the caster so that if the foes are lucky it lasts until dawn of the next day and if not... well time to draw up some new characters I guess! :twisted:
