Expanded army book for BE:MC

Mongoose
A.D. Publishing are covering WAW pretty well, so how about Mongoose doing MC ? There's several armies that could be added (Israeli and French have plenty of infantry and vehicle models out for a start) as well as updating and expanding the existing ones (some of the real-world forces have changed a bit in the last year or two and some of the vehicle stats could do with another look, and there was a few glaring omissions in some lists probably due to lack of space).

Hi Iain,

Zupan Development is currently working on some new army books for Modern Combat. US Air Force is currently in playtesting. The Australian book is getting a rewrite, and I'm statting up the Israelis right now as well.

As for the current army lists, we haven't delved into those yet, but if there's enough demand and Mongoose doesn't call dibs...

I'm looking at an African Wars supplement that will provide a list for an Afraican Nation government force, African irregular force (warlords/rebels), Private merecenary force and state backed Mercenary forces (although I may merge these two).

Sounds interesting. I'd thought about submitting an article for S+P with changes for some of the current lists and a few optional rules, but I think that making changes to existing rules rather than adding new content is really up to the original writers. Outside of house rules.

YESYESYES! :D Was going to suggest this. Would love to see a Battlefield Evo: Modern supplement with rules for older conflicts. Rhodesia (and other African Conflicts), Middle Eastern conflicts (Lebanon, Isreal's wars, Iran-Iraq, Black September, etc.) and hopefully Cold War hypothetical situations like the Fulda Gap. Would love to see vehicles like the T-55, Centurion, M-60, PT-76, Mi 24D, etc., etc. A small selection of such vehicles could cover a lot of armies. Perhaps a section on integrating these vehicles into the existing army lists, as well, in order to make the existing armies backwards compatible with older conflicts. The models are available, whether it be styrene, die-cast or resin, they can be had. I suppose separate supplements could be produced, but it seems to me that it would make more sense to keep it to a single book (if that's feasable). Is this at all a possibility?
