Expanded Ancients

Can you give us an idea how many ship designs will be available to each fleet? Please, pretty please with a Vorlon on top?

Still too early to say. However, don't expect many, as the Ancients _should_ be limited to a few ships at the top end. . .

Shadows, for example, are actually going to lose a ship (there are good reasons for it, you'll see :)). However, we are taking a good look at the Armageddon level Shadow Ship - this is clearly where the monster needs to be, but causes problems, especially for tournament players.

I'm guessing the Hunter... Perhaps moving it to a special "Shadow Orphan" list?

At least Shadows now Dont have to pay for fighters for that im happy

Ah, but they will never get any better at dogfighting, much to the consternation of some of our playtesters :)

The Ancients just don't do dogfighting - their fighters (or smaller craft, we should say, as they are noticeably larger than the fighters of other races) are used in a different role. . .

If they can move second, Vorlon fighters don't need to dogfight, 2AD of anti fighter nastyness! Owch.

Anybody know if beams get to roll again against fighters if they hit, we've been assuming not, but uncertain?

LBH, it's really not that difficult a guess, three ships, one appears throughout the series, one appears in a key episode of the series, one appears in a spin off show so bad it only made half a series. Hmmmm

And is technically not an actual shadow ship either. And amongst the sleek, spindly and menacing shadow warships, looks like a slightly malevolent tie-rack.

Like securing the area

Ahh, but I know where it ends up as well.

I'm not the only one who knows outside the Mongoose staff, but still, I allow myself a little smugness

Or hauling explosives to space stations!

I am surprised at the bad dogfight rating as we see three Frazi fleeing in the face of three shadow fighters, and when the two flip back to fight they both die hideously. (Well one does get to ram I guess.)

Vorlon fluff talks about fighting out of instinct rather than with strategy, which comes across strangly given they are the lords of order here, but also as hectic with darting involved. Just does not fit the look of how the ships move on the table top.

Anyone know if the Vorlon fighters got any tougher in Arm.? Or did the fighters stay the same and everything else went up?
