Excel Ship Designer v2025.11.12

Weird that it does that on that page and not on any others.
The drop downs for each program starts with a field populated by ="" to give a blank in the dropdown.
The TL, Bandwidth and cost for those are all 0, so there should not be an N/A in those fields.
Can you do a screenshot with a dropdown open?

@Arkathan so it turns out the house rule for using the SCC fuel rules for everything is actually an official rule. Deepnight Revelations 4, page 78 is pretty much the same rule but for all ships.

Close, but the newer implementation does not include DnR-4's lower limit of .1 tons. It uses the new small craft rule for anything. Thus a house rule.
If you want to follow the DnR small tank rule, you have to do it manually, because you can go below 0.1.

Another case of two rules for the same thing that don't match up. Who was it that asked for examples in another thread?

Ok, so why doesn't the sheet default to a minimum of 0.1 tons for the fuel tank for non small craft then? Since that seems to be the official rule now.

Sorry, rant time.
Matt has flat out said they don't have any kind of master rules documents and doesn't want them. But it causes problems like this not having them. ::sigh::

The small craft rule supersedes the DnR rule, in the same way that the 6 ton bridges for 100 ton ships in the updated Core Rulebook supersedes the 10 ton bridge rule they used for making 100 ton ships in that same Core Rulebook.
There are a few rules that are stupid and I refuse to implement them. The .1 fuel conflicting with the small craft fuel being one such an example. Instead, I accommodate it without enforcing it.

Ok @Arkathan, Here's my index of every ship, station and vehicle with stats in the official Mongoose products. I have added all the small craft, vehicles, modules and spaceships to the list from page 9a on the Vehicle & Ship Index sheet and updated all the listings with the book they are from. The only prices I have updated are the ones from Core'24 and HG'22 that I have done up new corrected sheets for. As I go through all of these, I'll update my list and post an updated Vehicles and Ship Index list. You can remove the Sourcebook and Page columns and have the AN through AS columns straight up. They are currently sorted by tonnage. Also, I have no idea what the criteria for column AR actually are, so you'll want to double-check that probably. :) I did fix all the names with misspellings I found, the odd incorrect tonnage and the occasional price errors.

The Named Ships and Crafts spreadsheet is every named vessel I could find, whether it has stats or not. They are not in the Vehicles and Ship index list unless they are unique and have a sheet.

Note to everyone: Please help me make sure these are complete, particularly the named stuff. It's not well-marked in the books where a name is mentioned, so I'm sure I missed a ton.

Even if the book has an incorrect price, shouldn’t it be used? I reported the book price in my info for him because it wasn’t my place to correct the mistakes.

It will be after Thanksgiving before I can get around to the spreadsheet again, so everyone has a few days to tear it apart.
Aiming for a late weekend update.

Make it a checkable option? The correct values really need to be available in my opinion, but if everyone else feels differently I can go back and adjust.

Can we get the Psionic technologies, HG p84 added to the sheet? The Psionic state room is easy enough to add in the custom block but Psi Shielding is a bit more of a bugger, and I had to improvise. :) And I've no idea how to approach the Psionic Capacitor, but it's TL 18 and probably not needed for Zhodani ships.

On the Summary page can we get fuel for jump broken into a separate line? Everything else gets broken out in there but I'd like a quick way to tell operations fuel from jump fuel.
