Excel Ship Designer v2024.12.25d

I'll take that into consideration. I do it in my head for that too, because it doesn't come up much in my games and the sheet is meant for permanent settings.
magazines: The ammo adds to the Cargo section of the record sheet but does not effect cargo bays. I am planning to expand the magazine section to at least segregate sand, missiles, mass driver and torpedoes... and any other ones listed in that section of HG that I have forgotten tonight.
Ah. It confused me then. I’ve been thinking the ammunition magazines were in the cargo bay because of the placement on the sheet. The collapsible fuel cell will be there, though.

Yes. Everything beneath the cargo bay section, except the fuel, is elsewhere.

When I was looking at the sensors (superior) in Behind the Claw, I saw it was a DM+3. The spreadsheet text (what isn't cut off) seems to say DM+2 for them. Maybe something to add to the next iteration.

I'm going to make this request again. can you add Hop and Skip to the FTL options? also, there's a M-Drive option that lets you use the M-Drive outside of the 1000D limit. I want to say it's in Deepnight Revelation can you please add that as an option? Thank you

Deep Space Manoeuvring System (DSMS) page: 26 (Deepnight Revelation (Campaign Guide).

Hop Drives are covered in JTAS #6, page: 14.

And, please, use commas to separate the numbers. I have no understanding of why the Traveller system hates commas in numbers, but its impossible to read the big ones without them and they are used in some parts of the spreadsheet and not others. Let me request they be used wherever a number is because when I lose my mind and develop a million-ton ship, it's hard. Ask me how I know. ;)

I'd do that and change some of the column widths myself, but the spreadsheet is locked so I have to live with it and complain. Sorry about that.

If you have Libre Office and don't mind clicking about 20 times, you can save it in the .ods format and remove all the password protections, allowing you to then unlock any sheet(s) that you want.

As to the 1000 diameter M drive limit, where is that relevant to the sheet?
Just ignore that rule. It is ignorant, anyway.
There is enough gravity from the galaxy to keep our sun in line. The reason we don't feel it is that we are in freefall around the galactic center of gravity.
It's kind of like saying there is no gravity on the space station, when in fact, Earth is pulling at .9G, but the station is in free fall.

And if the Password removal is all you are after, it is only there to keep people who have no business editing sheets from editing sheets.
The password is Password.

See, that's how I am. I should have asked. Thanks.

I did find an error when I expanded the column on the sensor page to display all the notes on the sensors. Superior sensors uses the +2 text rather than the +3. I changed a 7 to an 8 in the lookup formula and it fixed it. It was bugging me. That and adding commas for power and cargo will solve most of my grumbling.

For anyone else tweaking things, the password is Password. Capital P and lowercase for the rest.

If you find yourself revisiting the crew section, what are your thoughts about having the Miscellaneous line mimic the Marines/Troops and letting an entry in the Custom column 'pull back' into the other calculations?
