Excel Ship Designer v2024.12.25b

Also, the cost is significantly different on the summary page than the Ship info page.

EDIT: I see now. The Summary doesn't count the standard discount, which was set to yes by default. False alarm.

Here is the ship sheet.

Also, the cost is significantly different on the summary page than the Ship info page. It is one where I was tweaking the crew salaries, so not stock on that tab though I didn't mess with the rest.

Here is the ship sheet.
Following the example of the books, the price under the summary is the sum of the parts.
The purchase price is shown on the Record Sheet and the Ship's Info Tab.
Eventually, I will migrate that over to the Summary report, but I want to do that when I can bring the crew and the power distribution over at the same time.

I see what it was. The default has standard design selected. That was the difference in costs. Once I set it to no, they matched. False alarm then.

Maybe that should be set to "no" as default.

LOL. "Default" is whatever I forgot to reset right before the last save.

Edit: Always remember, if you want a different standard setup, save your Blank file that way... and then do it again every time I add something.

Feel free to drop that update. My issues seem to have been addressed.

I know I posted two yesterday... It's Terry's fault!

New Version: 2024.11.19

Fixed the Solomani Research Scoop. No longer standard on all ships. (Oops)
Fiddled with crew some. Extra crew can be added, that won't go away with ship size or automation.
Added ship expenses to the Summary and Ship Info page
Added Low Emissions to M-Drive mods
You can select between normal and concealed Docking Spaces and Hangar Bays

More add-on vessels coming your way shortly. I'm still plugging away at them. ;)

Okay, I re-entered the data in the new sheet. I made sure the "standard design" was set to no. The numbers on the summary now no longer match the non-standard cost. If I total them manually in the column (as I do for the screenshot) they match what is on the Ship's Info tab. There just seem to be extra costs in the total area, probably because something is being tallied but not yet listed, so worried.

EDIT: Found it. The Summary Tab total is including the ship's expenses under the Total Ship Cost.

On the other hand, there is a random miscellaneous dude in the custom column of the 10 - Crew tab under Miscellaneous 1 and the 9b - Optional and 10 - Crew tabs are unlocked which might be of concern. ;)

Removed expenses from the Summary total.

When the next update comes out, it will include vehicles from the Field Catalog, thanks to Terry Mixon
and the removal of the Record Sheet Tab. All information there has been migrated to the Summary Tab now, which replaces the Record Sheet.
Probably next week, unless a new feature or bug fix needs an earlier upload.

I’ll have more (but not all) vehicles by then, most likely.

That sucks. Our Brick and Mortar stores closed a while ago. Even our big one an hour away closed last year. (SciFi City in Orlando)
That suck especially since Florida has such a big gaming community. Here in Michigan we have quite a few and there’s a store about a half hour away (my local one is only a couple of miles away) which I could probably order from but the owner is a bit of a prick so I generally avoid his store. I’ll probably end up ordering my physical copies of 2300 from him since I already have the PDF, at least the core box since Amazon only list a (English and Bengali Edition).

So, I decided to make a 50,000-ton fuel/cargo pod for the Warmonger to allow it to do logistics duties. 800,000 tons of fuel and supplies at a pop for one ship seems worthwhile.

The thing is, it wants me to add 10,000 power and crew. Is that really necessary for a big fuel or cargo container? If not, there is no way to designate in the spreadsheet that I don't want that. I had hoped selecting module would get me around it, but no.

I'll take a look at power and get back with you shortly, but Custom Crew overrides everything, while still giving you suggestions on staffing (Civ and Mil) for systems installed.
Toss me the summary on the Feature chain?
