Mongoose
Hi all,

I am new to miniatures, and am a fan of board game geek

http://www.boardgamegeek.com/

Check out my session here:

http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/350248

I found reference to EVO modern combat there, and thats how I decided to buy - it looked like it covered the latest gear around and was a good war game. So, I bought it and some miniatures, and then recorded my 'solitaire' learn the rules session. I did it with photos galore, but but BGG don't let you upload too many photos. contact me if you want to know more.

Question though - the fedayen have a dash(-) as their armour save. Does that mean they have no save? OR does that mean that they can only be 'killed' - never wounded?

Further, do I understand correctly that there is no concept of damage or hit points? So, you roll for target, they roll for save. if they don't save they die? that simple?

Cheers, and let me know what you thought of my first sesison OR if you want to see the rest of the photos.

fedayeen - no armor save so any hit = kill
Hit points = only on vehicles with a Hits/X attribute. Infantry are all 1 hit wonders. Makes for a faster paced game.

Thanks very much paladin. BTW how is evocommand going? Do you know of any other australian players of EVO?

Well, there's me - but I'm a bit of a trek away. :(

A minor streak of pedantry forces me to declare that while I'm in Australia and I play BFE, I'm not actually an Australian BFE player.

Cheers

Cool. If I can wrangle a day in sydney for work perhaps we can hook up for a session! Are you going to Cancon? I'm not sure if I am going yet or not. Depends on how travel & family mix!

BTW - I was puzzled by your (LBH) comment, as my 'real' name is Mark, so there's two mark's, both down under. So, from this half of mark squared it's all good.

I notice also that there's a lot of Babylon fivery around on these boards, and only just clicked that mongoose authored the B5 RPG... I bought a copy years ago, and then never found another player.... I didn't look hard but there you go. So, Other mark - are you also a B5 player as well?

cheers,

Mark (ideapod)

Chiwie is about the most active Aussie on the boards and created a custom army for ADF. He may keep better tabs on Australian players.

Apologies, on the boards and often in real life I refer to forumites by their board names, that and I knew Mark(Norfolk) back when he was North of the equator.
