Error in Passenger Traffic p161 Core book?

RevReese

Mongoose
I am trying to work out if there is an error on this page regarding the tables or I am reading them wrong.
I have searched and cannot find anyone else with this specific problem.

In the text on page 160:

"For example, the Beowulf is docked at an asteroid mine (Population 3), and is heading for a rich world. The traffic Value is 3+1 (leaving asteroid) +2 (heading to a rich world) for a total traffic value of 6.
There will be 3d6-1d6 low passages available, 3d6-1d6 middle passages, and 3d6-2d6 high passages"

Yet, according to the table on the next page:

Passenger Traffic Value Low Passages Middle Passages High Passages
..............6...........................3d6.............3d6-2d6............3d6-2d6

Which ones are correct? The ones in the example seem to be a mix of two rows.

While I am on the subject, can anyone recommend the Trade and Merchant books? I have an old pocket edition (the one filled with errors and missing information) so is it wirth me paying out again for the newer (fixed) version?.

I found the missing errata tables under downloads, but there is no explanation of where they fit, has anyone written them in and if so where? some of them are obvious, others not so much!.

Thank you for your attention!

Mine has the example reading as a final value of 5, and is correct with the table.

I really like the merchant prince book, if that is the one you mean :D I think it's worth it.

In my copy, it is written exactly as I posted it.
Guess I should get a newer copy!

Yeah, I should have specified, I meant Merchant Prince! I am toying with the idea of getting that, Scoundrel, 760 Patrons and 1,001 Characters (and apparently a new core book!...).

Just trying to work out a few kinks still, most problems I find are already covered somewhere on here!.

My PDF shows the same erroneous example which is annoying (not in itself but as a whole) if there is a corrected version published as Barnest states. Why hasn't Mongoose updated the PDF file? At least DTRPG used to notify when files were updated. Maybe they stopped that but I suspect it more likely Mongoose simply hasn't posted a fully corrected (at least the known errata fixed, not the same as all errata fixed) file. Come on guys, if you have the errata as complete as you are going to admit, and you are fixing it in some products, fix it in the PDFs too. And if it is DTRPG that has dropped the ball in not notifying me of an update then I'll get on them about that.

Thanks for the replies!, can I ask what the correct figures should be? as I said, I did find the errata download, but it is not clear where a lot of these should be inserted in the pocket edition as a lot of them refer to chapters I did not even realise had tables or extra information available!.

Would it be easier to just simply purchase a new core book? if so, which one do I get? I am worried about buying another and it is not the newest one.

I usually get books from iguk, but will get them from here if it will guarantee me the 'correct' version.
