Errata for those of us who already own High Guard and CSC

Cosmic Mongoose
I have a polite request of MongooseMatt.

If these new High Guard and CSC books are just going to be minor updates incorporating known errata and clarifications, can Mongoose please release simultaneously a free pdf download containing just those fixes (a bit like the FAQ of a couple of years ago for the Corebook).

I can update my existing pdfs with that errata. I have no desire to buy a complete new book for that.

You'll get the updated pdf for free. And I suspect there is a bit more than errata. Maybe not much, but some.

Umm, the 2022 updates were not free, I doubt if the new Vehicle book will be free.

Has it been officially announced that these latest updates will be offered for free?

As The Great Rift box set was a free update, I made an assumption, so I could be wrong, I suppose. I guess we'll find out with the Vehicle Handbook Update. Any input, @MongooseMatt?

If CRB 2016 -> 2022 was anything to go by, the FAQ and Errata were free downloads until the Update got released. Then the download link was removed from the site.

I suspect that Guard, Vehicles, and Supply, have major updates scheduled, in order to align them more rationally.

If they come out, it's likely twenty five pounds sterling each, plus inflation.

I'm not quite sure why the current cleaning effort is being made, unless it's because they can't slot H/Guard in within the next two years.

And, of course, that would also depend on when the Third Edition is nominally scheduled.

The High Guard 2022 update was a bit more than errata - it had lots of new sections, so it made sense that was a new product.

Specifically, it added the chapters on Crew Roles and Boarding Actions, while dropping the chapter on Belt Mining. Other chapters were expanded from their 2016 versions; 64 more pages.

What have normally been free are pdf versions with current errata applied, if you own it.

In theory, a new Trillion Credit Squadron could revise fleet combat, possibly space combat.

Plus, a new set, or updated, naval and paramilitary spacecraft.

And gimmicks.

Or, collected gimmicks.
