Elric's celebrities magic points

Mongoose
Hello,

I'm reading about the celebrities in lastest Elric of Melnibone and I'm getting very surprised because of the magic points available for them.

Important sorcerers like Theleb K'aarna and Jagreen Lern only have an available magic point because of their pact dedication.

In the other hand they have lots of runes and summonings rituals.

Is it normal that because of their cult dedication they could only do minor summonings and runic magic? Even an average player with 10 MP would be much more powerful in that way...

Sorry for my bad English.

Regards.

You'll find that's due to errors. I thought the same thing, particularly in regards to Theleb K'aarana. His POW is actually 21 that leaves him with 11 MP after his pact dedication. It's a safe bet the same thing happened with some of the other characters.

Don't forget too, that a lot of them are evil bastards and probably offer sacrifices of some sort to boost their summoning rituals.

I'm glad this was raised. I did raise m eyebrows at the stats of some of the NPcs.

Is there an Elric errata somewhere?

Do you mean an errata in Elric character description or in Elric rulebook?

In the rulebook I've seen some of them...

I mean is there an official Errate for the Elric MRQ2 core rulebook?

I've seen one for RuneQuest II Core Book (and there are some more erratas not covered on it), but not for Elric...

I think the content of the books are really good, but they should take a bit more attention when revising them looking for erratas before publishing.

Yeah I've seen that one and applied the errata already.

Agreed. If there ARE errors in the Elric rules, there really ought to be an official Errata.
I can't really be bothered trawling through the book looking for errors.
I especially don't want to be in the middle of a gaming session and discover an error and then have to figure out where it went wrong.

Anyway, as long as there is not an official one, we could take note of all the erratas we find in a new topic.

What do you think?
