El Borak?

René

Banded Mongoose
I thought of this Afghan (?) hero of REH as a source of ideas for a short series of adventures I'd like to throw at my PCs during their journey from Aghrapur to a monastery in the Himelian Mountains.

Problem is: ASAIK there is no actual collection of El Borak stories in print. If it is or is planned, I'd thank you for some info where to find it.

Thanks for your help, folks!

You can usually find the El Borak stories on eBay. The three volumes I have have the following titles (which might help your search):

The Lost Valley of Iskander
Son of the White Wolf
Three Bladed Doom

The El-Borak stories have been converted to Conan stories in the comics and in the books (Three Bladed Doom, for example, became The Flame Knife when L. Sprague de Camp converted it into a Conan story).

Thanks, Vincent, I'll look in used book stores.

If I look at my growing REH book collection... It started with the Gollancz 2 vol. ed. of CONAN and now I'm even reading REH's comedian Western tales (which I can strongly recommend, by the way) - never thought I'd ever be this deep in American 1930s pulp. :D

There may be an El Borak -- and Kirby O'Donnell -- collection from Wandering Star... http://www.wanderingstarbooks.com/soon.html.

But Conan III and Kull, at least, will appear before then.

Wildside have published one of each "Desert Adventurer" story in Treasure of Tartary... http://www.wildsidepress.com/product.asp?itemid=1013&catid=196.

Cheers,
Ant

Hopefully delrey will publish El Borak (and Kull!), too.

Thanks for the link, King! I ordered the three books along with Marchers of Valhalla and Swords of Shazar (or similar) from http://www.antiqbook.co.uk/ - I think it was a bargain: all five books in VG condition for ca. 30 Euros incl. shipping. I must stop ordering books and use the time to read them

I fear I have the same problem as you. I buy more books and gaming supplement than I am able to read.
I tell myself though that books don't spoil.
