I like your idea, But do you have a idea how its the look for this carrier?

Hmmm, not sure I could agree with losing the missile rack. IIRC even the carriers in todays Naval inventory have missile systems. However, if you were to drop the missile rack, I would say to increase the amount, and/or the range on the P-Beams. If nothing else, the carrier should have some of the best Anti-Fighter capability in the fleet, IMHO anyway.

I was thinking about the missile rack as fire support for the fighters mainly; pick off the escorts, blow a way into the enemy fleet for them. That and I just like missiles. She might be a shade over- armed with them, but I'd rather keep them and reduce the pulse cannon fit.
'Argus' probably is a better name though. And I like the guy on the pylon; reminds me of Flash Gordon and the war rocket Ajax, where the crew were all standing along the gangway firng laser rifles.

I'd still like to see the Avenger's model replaced with the Avenger/Hyperion hybrid I believe a few people have hacked together.

Why bring an Avenger when you could bring:

1 Nova and 2 fighter wings, that would be 10 flights plus a few lasers.

or

1 Nova and 2 Hermes, thats 6 flights a few lasers with missles thrown in just for fun.

for the command bonus and the fleet carrier bonus. The fleet carrier isn't as useful at the moment since fighters are so nerfed. but any initiative bonus is gold!

but, like I said, We'll see how the balance shifts with the release of armageddon. the new information about unified fleet lists (tourney/campaign) sounds very interesting.

It will definately be a long wait as we ponder what has been to our lovely Earth Force. Not to mention fighters.

I like the statsd of the proposed carrier. Reminds me of the Ships used in SPACE ABOVE AND BEYOND, man I loved that show! (Yes, I like it even more than B5 ) Besides it's very fluffy for EA to have a carrier siting back launching flights and a couple of missiles at the incomming enemy fleet.

I love the Hammerhead fighter of the show SPACE ABOVE AND BEYOND! But one thing I hate about it is. THEY NEVER SHOW THE ENEMY CLOSELY! :evil:
