I assume you mean the additions ("wings") to the connection between the engine section and the main hull.
Well, I don't know, I assume it's additional armour plates, but many of the Warlocks I have seen on pictures had these things so I decided to add them to mine, too.
Besides that it looks cool :lol:

I notice they are the trademark of Rocketdyne's design. The Omega, Nova, and Warlock all have them.

The mini turrets come from Tamiya naval detail sprues (I cut most of them off, there's approx. 50% left of the original turret).

I assume the red dotty things are interceptors - some kind of defensiv short range missile system.
The Apollo and the Delhi have them, too. I assume most EA Ships have.

I actually thought of it too, like acoustic countermeasures for subs. Thermal countermeasures maybe?

But wouldn't that make the extra shielding wings kinda in the way?

But since they were never used on-screen... I thought of escape pods.

I heard somewhere that they're escape capsules, but I'm not sure how accurate that is.

Yes but the large ones are it's broadside missile batteries (gotta add a rear battery to mine somehow).

I just find the whole EA Missle thang a bit odd... The forward and rear missles preumably use the massive launchers on the wings (ala the Warlock and Marathon) but the entire launch system changes for the flank missle racks...

The Apollo was never seen on screen, but I thought the ones you mean are missile batteries.

There's a group of smaller dots in the section between the main hull and engines. Maybe they're the "regular" red ones?
