Has anyone noticed that the Earth Alliance book is missing the stats of the "Tyr" Bomber? Are they posted in the forum anywhere?

Feel free to use this until/unless official stats are published. Hope this helps :)

Tyr Bomber

Statistics:
Huge Aircraft; hp 40; DV 10 (-2 size, +2 agility); DR 6; Spd 16; Acc 3; Dec 2; Han +2; Sensor +4; Stealth 4; Cargo 2,000 lb; 1 Pilot; 1 Co-Pilot/Gunner; 1 Navigator/Bombardier

Weapons:
Twin-lined Uni-Pulse Cannon; Turret; Attack +2 (targetting computer); Damage 4d8; Critical 19-20; Range 1
Bomb Rack: Ventral; Attack +0; Damage 6d6, Critical 19-20, Range *; 12 Bomb Capacity
Mjolnir Cruise Missiles: 2 (see EA Fact Book, p169)

*As long as the target is under the aircraft at any point during its movement, the bomb can be dropped from any height with no attack penalty due to range.

Most stats and the bombing rules stolen and modifed from the Centauri Tigaro Bomber, with a tweak towards the Earthforce stats for similar aircraft, and addition of the Mjolnir Cruise Missile and a nice turretted defence system :)

I've been thinking about this. But wouldn't you think a "Heavy" Bomber would have a heavier pay load? I mean wasn't the B-17 from WW2 capable of carrying 2000LBS. I mean the B-52 is capable of many times that load. You'd think that nice as your write up is, I think that the "Tyr" would almost have to have a heavier load. Just a thought. :)

By all means tweak the bomb capacity to 48, but I was figuring those cruise missiles would be one hell of a payload by themselves :)

Maybe an option to replace each cruise with 12 more bombs, in addition to quadrupling the standard payload?

Also bear in mind the 2000lbs is cargo capacity seperate to the bombs. I don't have a clue what they weigh :)

Unfortunately I didn't have time to figure in the game mechanics and how to make something substantially different to existing stats, and just grafted a few bits together from other ships. I might give this one another shot later - alternatively lets see some ideas from other people until we reach a concensus of the "right" one (assuming we don't get an official one in errata)
