Using just the Core Book I would take the Personal Drone (Cr2000) and add kit to it up to the Cr10,000 limit (adding up to Cr8000). Programs, tools, armour, whatever...
...quick example:
Merchant Doctor gains Drone Assistant award (choosing a TL12 model):
TL12 Personal Drone base model: Cr2000
+ Integral TL10 Medikit: Cr2250 (allows remote diagnosis and treatment, meds not included, TL12 version too expensive for this model)
+ Integral TL12 Computer/3: Cr1500
+ TL10 Translator Program 1: Cr500
+ TL12 Agent Program 1: Cr2000
+ TL11 Expert Program (Medical) 1: Cr1000
+ TL12 Medical Database: Cr500
= Final Value for TL12 Journeyman Design Bureau Medical Drone: Cr9750 (purposefully less than Cr10,000, you could add something else or make the database a bit bigger)
So the Doctor can examine and treat patients remotely (such as in quarantine), without language barriers, and gets a +1 to checks for the assistance when working with it (not remotely imo). And the Assistant can even handle some tasks independently (at Medical 0). If I understand all the relevant rules.
I can easily see similar versions (different tools and skills) for the Engineer, Steward, Trader, whatever.
