Dredd rulebook pdf file very slow to refresh

Hi,
Has anyone else noticed that the latest rulebook pdf revision is very slow to refresh pages compared to the last? It is noticeable on pc but very annoying on ipad. The block war file is fine in comparison, and the previous core rulebook file was fine too.

If you turn off the Background layer it moves like lightning.

it must be the prob then. I don't think there is any option for that in iBooks on ipad unfortunately which is where I use all of my gaming pdf's.

And how does one do that in adobe Reader?

on the far left of adobe you will see two diamonds stacked

When you click on it, the side bar will expand, showing you the multiple layers that make up the book.

Now as you scroll through the pages, elements that are actually in use will be bold. Just uncheck (or take off the eye) next to Background and Viola! Speedy reading. Also now the page number will be very difficult read, I've brought this up before but no dice since you can just read the page number on adobe.

Unfortunately I cannot tell you WHY it is that the background is slowing down the rendering so much.

Theory: they intended this version to be the one that goes to print, maybe this is the same file that they sent to printers for proof, perhaps saved with a print profile instead of web profile in export settings?

Matt if you are listening out there could you save the file for web for us ipad plebs!
