Dirty Tactics.

No they suffer the full force of the NBS :P And then get nuked by Cptn. Sheridan (and why not he nukes just about everyone else :P)

Seriously:

Sheridans list of nukings:

He Nukes the Minbari in the war (techincally he nukes them twice just to be sure :P).
He Nukes the shadows capital city on Za'ha'dum
He Nukes the shadows AND the Vorlons at the Battle of Corianis 6
He Nukes the thirds space aliens in the Vorlon beacon thingy.

Thats 4 major nukings in as many years. He might as well just change his name to Duke Nukem and be done with it :P

(there are also worrying romours of a secret ISA arsenal of nulcear wombats....)

Everyone knows that Wombats can't carry a high enough payload to make a difference in todays high nuclear strike areas.

Now, Thermonuclear-hydrogen powered space whales.......That's where the League of Non-aligned Worlds is a bit worried.

dirty tricks?

at the club I go to theres a player who only ever wants to use his Victory an will try anything and everything to get it on the table.

I also once watched a game where the same player was going against Minbari and was rolling for each Minbari ship on the table at the start of his turn to see which ones failed their stealth roll and then choosing which one to shoot at.

The Minbari player was new to the game and didnt know how the stealth roll for Minbari works. He does now.

Precise adding +1 to Critical Damage.

So many broken engines,
So many catostrauphic explosions.

Other Blatant dirty tactics;

Ignore ship ability loss rolls when crippled.
Messing up counters in a hissy fit to end a game.
Claiming Jump Points suck ships in and vacuuming fleets.
CAF with twin-link weapons claiming rerolls of rerolls.
Old Aux Craft vs Stealth Rules.
Liberally interpreting what the 'centre' of a ship constitutes for Boresights.
Changing Missile Types in-game.
Using full-health explorers, poseidons etc to Ram.
Inaccurate damage/crew loss records.
Saying that Minbari cant suffer ammunition explosions.
Using Turrets to fire at full attackdice in every arc each turn.

Grotesque Misinterpretations of rules;

Refreshing Interceptors against every new weapon system.

Thankfully those are all either major rules misunderstandings or cheating so they won't ever work against someone who knows what they're doing.

The dirtiest tactics are the ones you can use against anyone such as moving a ship then deploying its Breaching Pods directly into base contact with an enemy vessel and boarding it immediately!!!

Dirtiest tactics I've done...um...well in that last tourney at Milton Keynes I did something that didn't impress my opponent ... he seemed genuinely upset I wasn't coming straight towards him and complete with swearing and calling my tactic, "s***").
Using "all stop" is a perfectly fine tactic AFAIK... so is going into asteroids, dust clouds, orbiting planets... its called manouvering. He must be some kind of weirdo freak to call that cheating. And it evidently wasn't s*** if it won you the game ;)

Was that against your arch-nemesis by any chance?

You have to play to win. Even in the Series no shadow fleet did a "suicide Run" at the enemy - except 1 shadow scout vs 1 whitestar.

Only a fool moves their fleet into a bad position like that. Sounds like your opponent had no imagination for tactics.

I hope you told him to have a Coke & a Smile......
