trying to judge when it will get here.

Just informed by Amazon that the book will be here June 07 2010.
dreamingbadger got his May 21, 2010. Looks like a 17 day difference. I thought Merchant Prince was faster than this. Oh well. :)

Maybe they are using a lower rated manoeuvre drive, got to leave more room with for cargo after all.

I got the same message. This one is the last of the books I pre-ordered from them and I dont think I will do it again.

On the bright side, on Merchant Prince, when they gave me the "final estimate" (after four others), it actually got here a day or two ahead.

So... pre-ordering from Amazon does not get you the book quicker than other methods. Just a warning to those who might not know so they dont repeat my mistake. Not even close.

UPDATE
It shipped yesterday and will be here tomorrow. YAY! So it seems 11 days, which is about what Merchant Prince was. That's not bad.

I just pre-order directly from Mongoose. Some times (usually) I get the books before the people in the UK get them.

If I wasn't on such a strict budget, I would do that as well. It's cheaper for me to get them through Amazon.

Just picked mine up, flicked it open, and the first thing I see is 2400 kph Grav Bikes!!!! Sweet!

I got mine yesterday. First thing I noticed after opening the book was that Charlotte Law had a hand in it (editor). That made me feel better.

Mine just came in today. I suppose a part of me wishes a Nobles book dealt more with Pocket Empire style topics and how to run political games. Still, this has a load of inspiration for dramatic campaigns involving wealth and influence if not so much focus on political and strategic issues.
