I think the words 'Woo Hoo!' are appropriate when you are playing soldier in the sand box and a a box containing a love letter from your woman arrives. Not to mention when it is filled with two EA fleet boxes and a handful of loose ships and all the assorted hobby thingers to put them together!!!

Awww That's cute that you were playing a soildier in the sand box......
(I gather your in or near Iraq then?)

Hehe gratz on the new stuff, more on the woman with the insight, she's a keeper.

'somewhere near' works. all those fun classified locations I can't talk about or I'd have to kill you all! (which would be terrible, because I wouldn't have anyone else to have posting on here...)

Yes, she is an awesome woman. she keeps sending me things before I ask her. Like, one day I saw someone flying a kite and was thinking *wow, that would be a relaxing way to spend some off time* (I have a lot of 'relax' time for a deployed location...) and then the very next day a box came in from her with a kite in it. I hadn't even mentioned it to her!

She is even going to play ACtA with me when I get back. Of course she is going to be playing ISA, so I plan to endure hearing her brag how she kicked my tail

well I'm glad to be back, personally didnt have time for wargaming out there.
visited alot of the american bases in and near iraq whilst there. alot better facilities, wish we had that much :D

Oh, not THAT much time. Just time to work on building my ships.

And yes, I'm glad for the facilities I'm in. Call me spoiled, but I wouldn't enjoy the 109 degree weather without AC...

well we had that ;) if you're inside anyway. also cant be that far out of the norm if you got air con accomodation so no needless killing :D
was hot out in the sun, especially if you were rocket chasing or holding a cordon for an incident. and all the concrete everywhere soaks up the heat then reflects it back.

What? No paints or brushes? No glue? She's torturing you ;)

I thought about it, but I didn't think painting in a poorly ventilated room with extremely limited space and access to cleaning supplies would be a good idea.

We improvise, we adapt, we overcome.... ;)

A marine crawls through knee deep mud, with machine gun fire wizzing over head, looks to his fellow marine and says "Man, this sucks!"

An army Private sits in a fox-hole, knee deep in mud, he looks at his sergeant and says "Man, this sucks!"

A navy Seaman climbs out of his 5'x2' bunk, runs up onto deck where the strong winds and steady rain quickly soak through his uniform, muttering "This sucks"

An air force officer banks his f-16, passing over head, to look down at the battle field, commenting "Man, it must suck down there"

Back at the air base, 1,000 miles from the front lines, an air force airman returns from duty, sitting down in his air conditioned room, turns on the TV to find that the cable has gone out and shouts "WHAT?! This sucks!"
