My fleet is going to be...oh wait, I'm not going to tell everyone before I play :P

Suffice to say I'll be using new miniatures again :)
 
Drakh LR, Drakh CV with 3 HR, 2 LR. If you get to use Refits/Duties, it's all gravy.

A risky Dilgar fleet: Rohric, Wahant ("I'm gonna fight my way through it all" is probably not a valid idea, and the Dilgar Refit/Duties list stinks.)

No allies allowed. And you probably wouldn't get fightered to death, the maximum number of fighters is likely to be 4 whereas you'd have 2... not bad odds. Unless someone brings a Morshin.

I've had a fighter carrier then. Though there not really allies.

Hate it when whitestars close blast doors. It can feel like a real mission to damage a whitestar at the best of times, I always feel a bit cheated by the dice gods when one makes heaps of cbd rolls.

I think it's moronic that adaptive armour stops crew from being killed! O lets half that now.

You don't see the crew walking around in heavy armour do you now lol

The blast doors compartmentalize the interior of the ship. So if a hole is made in the side of the ship, less crew membes are sucked out of it.

I think most ranger commanders fall asleep with there hand on the CBD button. zzzzzzzzzzz what where under attack? Nevermind CBD is on anyway
 
I despise CBD on a whitestar. look i can dodge half your shots, then half the damage on the few shots that get through and then have a 1 in three chance of ignoring what tiny tiny damage you do, and then i can repair a bit a turn too. oh by the way, after a round or two you will never get your main weapons to bear on me cos i am more maneuvarable, faster, and conventiantly have a front arc, so don't even have to line up my shots very well. .

actually, i just hate Whitestars, horrible ships.

You forgot my Nial, which will intercept the first 4 or so of your shots ;)

tut I would have expected a White star carrier then you can recover them too....
 
Agreed. The new Whitestar with its 2nd AD of beam is also on my 10 most broken ships. It got that, a benefit to CAF, a possible Scout function, and ability to leverage CBD effectively all at once. It lost on that traits are critable, but that's a lot of give.
 
Cant agree about CBD, its not really that much better on whitestars than any other ship its just that theyve got so many other ways of avoiding damage that it can be a tad annoying ;)

The possible scout function I think is a perfectly fair trade off for the nial flight.

A benefit to CAF, well it always had it it just had to line up a turn in advance but to be honest I personally dont see that as a problem still.

The 2nd AD. Now HERE I agree with you. Ive long been in favour of upping the Whitestars Beam potency BUT ALSO MAKING IT BORESIGHT. Just upping its potency just makes the ship a tad too good potentially (but then again most ships in 2nd ed have been upgunned a bit so I wouldnt say its that bad still...)

Out of curiosity what would you consider your '10 most broken ships' (exlcuding the gaim who are being redsigned)
