There's my gal :)

Love it!

Yeah, it might be the go-faster stripe that sells it

Wow - very nice embellishments!

Love the improved turrets, hinge details and top pods.

The red stripe adds a certain splash (and if the rest of the ship was black one could start whistling a tune about crack commando units going to prison for a crime they didn't commit...)!

Love it!

Thanks peeps, got some ideas from the SJG version. Pulled the pegasus insignia from who know where....

Like the A-Team reference :) Can do that pretty quick!

Just seeing if it will export so I can do a funky render..

So whats next?.... (might just borrow those guns for the Serpent...)

The rather 'simplistic' looking Merc Cruiser with modular cutters might be a nice challenge - given the number of decks and abundant curves... plus you can make lots of use of those sweet turrets!

Isometric of that one would be a useful touch...

BTW: Love it when a deckplan comes together! - 8)

Potentially silly question: which deckplan goes with the latest 3D render?

I'm presuming the one I doodled up. Though it's not a silly question since there is a difference, perhaps you spotted it is the reason for asking. In my plans the nose would be rendered a little differently. With the bridge and guns dropping 1.5m, sloping the top of the nose back a little more radically, and lowering the forward cargo doors 1.5m. I'm thinking the easiest might be to change the deckplan, (all I'd have to do is eliminate the 5ton mail hold at the back to make the forward hold 20tons). I won't ask middenface to change the render :)

EDIT: Actually I think I'll just do that later, fix my deckplan doodle a little and then post it together with middenface's excellent render so the link is obvious :)

To honest kind of both... Originally it fitted fartraders better, but it looks so much better than my old one. Even though the shorter top deck doesn't fit.

Tell you what if fartrader sticks with his canards I'll put them on.
So you know whats what!

In the end it fits the several version that are around (TNE/GURPS/CT)

Do you want canards ? Perhaps something else to make it look different?

Ooof bad man !

I like the merc cruiser.. might knock out a freetrader 1st. Has some tricky curvy bits.. Quite partial to the patrol cruiser as well..

No, the canards while originally an ok idea just didn't work for me in the end. Cutting them was the right call and that is one of the edits to my doodle I intend. Not sure what other difference to add nor that it's needed. Your render is great the way it is.

They're all good choices! Looking forward to your next masterpiece!

Oh, that's much better!

Nice launch, too. Is it actually big enough? I had a hell of a job with mine.

Possibly. I rescaled it to roughly fit the plan I created. Well I need to go back and add the clamp. Not 100% happy with the launch so it may get a refit.

Meanwhile the Free Trader A Map is done... just needs a grid.
