Cyberpunk

As far as I'm aware Cyberpunk is no longer produced by anyone. I have played this with our local group and it's a great game and seems to still have a lot of fans.

Maybe one for Mongoose to consider?

Which "Cyberpunk"?

The one by RTG is still in print in a new (not very good, IMO) version. There are others.

Which one?

I was thinking of R. Talsorian Games version. I was under the impression from my GM it's no longer in print, but I could well be wrong!

I've played a heavily house-ruled version of it about a dozen times, it's a lot of fun. :)

RTG's Cyberpunk was the one I was commenting on.

If you check out their website ...

... you will find that not only are copies of the core game and all the supplements for Cyberpunk 2020 still available (I believe they are POD copies, as the replacement copy of "Maximum Metal" I ordered around a year or so ago seemed to be), all the supplements for Cybergeneration are also available and the Cyberpunk V3 rules and a few supplements are also available (V3 is a love it or hate it thing, it seems - I hated it, some of my friends loved it).

So it would seem that you're trying to sell something to Mongoose that isn't available

In my view, Mongoose absolutely should put out a Traveller version of Cyberpunk. The two iconic logos, side by side. I don't think that you'd need to adjust the rules at all - although you'd need to build on VI interfacing with the Matrix. Beyond that, just flesh out the setting and build on the 'attitude'.

On the other hand, some people are arguing that the upcoming 2300AD setting is basically a cyberpunk setting, so maybe we should wait and see.

Are you suggesting a rules conversion from Interlock to Traveller? Why?

I think the whole setting of the CP2020 is outdated these days. Shadowrun setting is updated much better although I still like my cyberpunk games without demihumans and magic :P

What I would like to see is a totally new cyberpunk genre setting using Traveller rules. I could be wrong but I think a game called Interface Zero is being translated to Traveller rules.

Is that actually happening? I thought they were converting it to Savage Worlds?

True the setting is getting converted to SW so it is possible that Traveller conversion is not going to happen any time soon but I remember that there was talk about that one, too...
