Cults - Myrddin

Hi guys

Just looking for some feedback on the Myrddin cult from S&P. I plan on providing similar cult write ups for all of the various gods in the cults book and if there is anything extra you would like to see or any other comments you want to make, please do. I will see how these mesh with my own ideas and go on from there.

I liked it and will use it as I am mod of the slaine yahoo site have added the festival days from the rules if the cults had feast days would add them too 8) .

what I would like is local colour would the cult have its own tartan or symbol,do they have geases in common and titles that certain levels give in the cult.are certain animals sacred or others hunted to destruction for a anicent wrong?
what myths and legends does the cult have that I can use as hooks ie hidden knowledge of magicks now manly lost its that sort of thing I am looking for 8) also famous members who had died and now have tombs to loot and legends of say famous weapons the cult guard or once did and now want back :twisted:

I was thinking about who would be as powerful as Myrddin or alteast equally prominent.

The Great Guldig ruler of Cythron's.? ( And his father?.)

So, I thought about Balor and the cult of Dagon.

There must be a Cult of Dagon.

local cults would give local favour and could also cause inter clan problems as the two villages belive their take is right and their grove/statue is the real one the other just a tacky copy. slaine via its comic roots is very visual so should membership of a cult so a gold disc brooch and bleached white hair shows devotion to lug while the witch wears a black bangle of jet and her brooch is of a crow as her goddess is the crone.

so a clans tribal gethering will be full of these extra colors in the mix and rules for example a woman is being chased by warriors her crime entering a cult shrine with one shoe on last time that happened a major event happened so the cult whant to sacrifice the girl to stop that happening :?

also as well as outside signs which are known others are secreat to prevent people pretending they are the good or bad guys and woe to the silly buggers who get it wrong

as you can see am looking forward to the book lots 8)

for the cults book can I suggest doing away with the outline letter thing for titles/subtitles and just go with the title subtitle without the letter. Ex. A. Cult Organization B. holy days, etc. ... (to just).... Cult Organization, Holy Days, etc...(those may not be the exact titles/subtitles with the letters but there was a small section that did when the rest of the article did not use this format.)

Over all I liked the info included and would second the suggestion of specific geasses, weapons/magic items/ holy items, as well as detailed (maps) of holy places and of course adventure seeds. Perhaps how the diety interacts with worshippers if at all.

There's some interesting stuff in the 'Slaine the defiler' novel regarding some Immortal called the Huntress. The night of the Questing Moon and the Moon-Torn Tribe.

If you are talking about the Black Flame Novels.
I am afraid they have been canceled or suspended.

The author who wrote the first two are as far as I know won't be writing any more Slaine stories.

I don't think Black Flame no longer hold the licence.

Of course you never know when another Slaine novelmay rear it's head.
