Covert Possession

Im running a 2nd age Gloranthan campaign at the moment and one of the players has become covertly possessed by a darkness demon without him realising it. (ain I a stinker!? :twisted: ). The players are currently affiliated with the Middle Sea Empire, and have no access to spirit magic. What would be the most likely ways to discover the possession without it becoming overt?

Mystic Vision. He'll probably come across a sorceror who happens to have that spell up at the time, who will notice a strange double aura.
