What do you think of it?

I notice that Return to the Road of Kings featured the same cover as RoK. Will it be modified or will it be really the same?

I think it looks pretty good. Well, at least Big C fighting the snake looks cool, the dudes and dudettes hanging around at the bottom of the picture are actually pretty goofy (as is the floating ghost).
But the eye-catching center (ie. Conan) looks nice.

No, that's not the same, is it? Does looks a bit similar, though.

You're absolutely right. It just seems I already saw this cover somewhere.
(I wonder if I didn't had in it my mind as it was already available for so long).

I am not a fan of the "floating head" (or "class photo") school of cover art, but C. Quilliams seriously rocks and, let's face it, the cover could be a lot worse compared to lots of RPG and wargaming lit I've seen over the past decade. Mr. Quilliams is the best thing to happen to Conan since Frazetta and Vallejo! 8)

I think C. Quilliams has a perfect picture of Conan.

I bought the Conan The barbarian reprints with comments from Roy Thomas and he states his only regrets with John Buscema is that Conan appears too old on his drawing compared to his real age. He surely would have been satisfied with Chris ageless depiction.

Quilliams is awesome! However, Conan fought a giant snake on the cover to the Stygia source book. I would've liked to see Conan fight a Grey Devil or a Lovecraftian beast, just to see what Chris would've come up with. And since this is a bestiary, I can understand the "lets have every creature attack Conan" shtick and it just doesn't sound or appear inspired. I just think it's not one of the best covers Chris has done. But, you have to love the God in the Bowl creature to the right - I can just see him screaming "Get 'em Cobra!"

And I wouldn't hesitate to throw Cary Nord into the conversation with others such as Frazetta, Buscema, Smith & Quilliams when discussing influential, marketable, inspired and distinctive interpretations of Conan. [/img]
