Counters Missing Dots & Lines?

I just received my copy of Victory at Sea. Everything looks great, and I cannot believe how few pages provide the rules. Going to make it easy for me to get playing without much fuss.

One question though, page 3 of the book says that the counters are supposed to have bisecting lines and a center dot for measuring movement, but mine do not. Are my counters misprinted? Or was a decision made to change the counters after the book went to print?

Thanks for any info.

think thats how they decided to do them. theres a counter that you can put over your ship to see the fire arcs but guess its so you cant check arcs before you declare firing.

You can use the arc counter prior to firing (after all your ship would be able to see if it is in firing arc with the tools on board).
