Corumai/Juyaca questions

Cosmic Mongoose
I like the stats and the new models for both these ship, but I do have some questions about the in service dates, and the ship fluff.

-The Corumai. Its in service date is given as 2223. Does this mean it can take part in timeline correct dilgar war battles? I seem to remember reading in the fan fiction story "the dilgar war" (which is truly excellent by the way) that the Brakiri were scrambling to finnish a huge dreadnought class ship, is this the one? If so I think any dilgar player that takes on the brakiri is in for a supprise.

-The Juyaca. I think the in service date (2235) for this one has just been plain mucked up. The fluff states that it was created for a holy crusade against the drahk, in responce for their virus bombing of earth. Which was post 2260. If the abbai knew what the drahk were going to do nearly 30 years before they did it, you think they could have told us.

The Corumai is the vessel that fought in the Dilgar War per the AoG timeline. I think they launched it incomplete to try to save Brakir itself during their darkest hours of the war. I am not sure but I think it was destroyed.

this is the original AOG fluff about the Corumai:

This lumbering monstrosity was originally designed as an Ak-Habil experiment in hull construction. when the Dilgar War began, the Brakiri quickly fit the hulk with weapons, using it to defend Brakos from an invasion force. The massive ship could only barely move if arming its weapons, and suffered from severe power problems. A few more were later built in vain attempts to solve these difficulties, and now serve as system defenders, rarely moving from orbit around major colony worlds. One, the Soultender, was sent to join the final battle of the Shadow War but broke down en route, later returning to Brakos to be scrapped.

Interesting, thanks guys :) It looks like mongoose isn't only making new crusade era ships, but is also looking at some of the ships that are mentioned in the older B5 history.

To be fair, the armament matches the jucaya's in-service date - one naturaly associated bolters with dilgar-war era. (Quad bolters! Put that in your pipe and smoke it....)

It looks like a nasty ship - and the extra range on its secondary weapons, plus comms disruptors of annoyance to improve the effectiveness of crit-fishing with the multiple combat lasers.

As to the corumai...well...don't stand in front of it, eh?

And.....the inevitable pak my gunship. That thing actually stands up well to a pshul'shui
