For the Aesir of Nordheim, honour and courage in battle are everything. These savage warriors throw themselves into the fray with the ferocity expected of their race, their kings at the forefront of every charge. No pampered and perfumed noble of the south, the iron thewed kings of the Aesir charge to battle swords in hand, facing death with barbaric oaths on their lips. It is the hope of every Aesir to die in battle and to enter Valhalla and an afterlife of fighting, feasting and wenching. But when a king begins to feel the bite of old age, how can he hope for such a glorious end?
