Conan 2nd Edition House Rules

I'm going to give starting a Conan game another shot after the New Year so I guess this is a good time to ask one of my favorite questions: What are your favorite house rules, assuming you don't play RAW? One of the best things about gaming forums is HR mining. Some of mine are:

E6 variant. Characters rise to level 6 normally, but gain only feats after that. Higher than level 6 and it starts feeling less and less gritty.

Split 24d6 among your attributes however you like (before rolling of course), keeping the best three. Minimum of 3 dice per attribute so if you really want to ensure that high strength you could put up to 9 dice in one roll, but your other stats will be 3d6 iron man.

Characters may gestalt using feats. 1 feat equals one gestalt level of one class. So to be a gestalt Soldier 6/Thief 4 costs 4 feats. Wearing many hats is part of the genre.

No attribute penalties, and racial bonuses can't raise a score above 18. Races without ability bonuses gain a bonus feat to compensate.

Very fast hit point recovery, but serious wounds can be received through critical hits. If you're out of hit points you aren't down, you simply can't defend yourself and every hit is a critical hit.

Our house rules for Atlantean Edition, 2nd Edition wasn't worth buying imho.
