Thanks Ralph!

What are your top five adventures from this list?

Top five? In order:

1) Conan & The Heretics of Tarantia
2) Conan & The Tower of the Elephant
3) Shroud Over Zabhela
4) The Ruins of Atlaia
5) Defending the West

Although I own all of them, I haven't used more than a few (running mostly homebrew). But my favorite three so far are (in no specific order): The Coming of Hanuman, The Ruins of Atlaia, and The Reavers of the Vilayet.

BTW, see my review of Tales of the Black Kingdoms here:

Many of these adventures are very short though.

I' m rather fond of the following (in no particular order):
-Defending the West
-Ruins of Atlaia
-Tower of the Elephant
-Heretics of Tarantia
-Vengeance of the Golden Skull

Thulsa, modest as always, didn't mention his own "Ancient Kingdoms: Mesopotamia". Although not an official Conan supplement, the book fit perfectly in the Hyborian world. The plot and locations are very "howardian", and the free form format of the adventure is enjoyable, both for players and GMs.
Of course, as the book was written for D&D, some modifications have to be made (too many monsters, dungeons and magic), but conversions notes are available on Thulsa's site.
I know i'm a bit out of the topic as the book is not an official Conan supplement but I found it closer the REH spirit than some MGP books.

Thanks, I didn't mention it because it wasn't published by Mongoose.

The conversion notes, and also other conversions and Hyborian adventures, can be found here:

Oh, and watch out for more sword & sorcery goodness in the coming months... :-)

I'm not going to put off getting the Ancient Kingdoms: Mesopotamia adventure any longer thulsa - especially with your wicked sweet conversions. Thanks for the hard work and the link. 8)

I just received the Messantia box set and I have to say that The Vengenance of the Golden Skull is one of the best adventures Mongoose has published - and I've never heard anything about it! Basically it is similar to the well loved Heretics of Tarantia but has more Meat and a better storyline. VoTGS is definitely up there in my top five. My other favorites are:

2) Shroud Over Zabhela - that final room captures REH's Conan adventure finales better than any single adventure published by Mongoose.

3) Defending the West - Excellent start and excellent finish - plus Picts!

4) Heretics of Tarantia - solid module with lots of room for PC's to follow their own course of action.

5) Ghost of the Deep - really got me thinking and although I changed some, and the final adventure looks different than the one printed, the catalyst for my ideas came from this very cool adventure.

Tell us more, PLEEEEASE....

Well, there's both something homebrew, and something professionally published (non-Mongoose), on the way... I think I can say more about it in a few weeks.

I just can't wait. Let us know as soon as possible.
Cheers

Here are the ones I have found information on.

1-3 -- The Coming of Hanuman ---------------------(PDF only)
1-3 -- The Black Stones of Kovag-Re---------------(PDF only)
3-4 -- Tales of the Black Kingdoms
4-6 -- Conan & The Tower of the Elephant---(Module)
4-6 -- Conan & The Lurking Terror of Nahab-(Module)
5-7 -- Conan & The Heretics of Tarantia------(Module)
7-8 -- Conan & The Reavers of the Vilayet---(Module)
Any -- Shadizar - City of Wickedness
lower-level -- Vengeance of the Golden Skull-(Messantia – City of Riches)
not released?? -- Conan and the Shadow of the Sorcerer (campaign set)

Yup, that's mostly correct, except for the following.

Elements Warden said:
3-4 -- Tales of the Black Kingdoms
Tales of the Black Kingdoms is actually composed of three (linked) adventures:
Shroud Over Zabhela - lvl 3-4
The Ruins of Atlaia - lvl 4-6
The Red Citadel - lvl 5-7

Hmmm, Dark Dens of Iniquity (the 32 page adventure included in the Shadizar box) does not seem to have any recommended levels listed (I can't find them anyway).

lower-level -- Vengeance of the Golden Skull-(Messantia – City of Riches)
Vengeance of the Golden Skull - lvl 3-4

Yes, that's correct; this campaign was (unfortunately) cancelled. There seems to be another campaign in the works, but Shadow of the Sorcerer will most likely never be published.

And a couple more:

The Children of Jullah (Conan Compendium) - lvl 4-5
The God in the Bowl (Conan Compendium) - lvl 1-3
Plunderers of the Dead (Signs & Portents #17 & Conan Compendium) - lvl 2-5

Could we expect a Pdf format or free publication on a fan site? (who said Thulsa?)

The Shadow of the Sorcerer was supposed to be written by Jason Durall. In this thread you can read about what happened with the project. It's a very long thread, but go to page 13 and read the third post (by Jason). Jason does mention there that he'd like to publish it in some form in the future, but I haven't heard anything since.
