I have tried the alternative initiative introduced by the Companion Update 2024 and it is working really well! It makes combat much more dynamic and chaotic.
My players feel the same but what came up is, that the tactics skill no longer plays a role unless someone wants to act before.
How do you handle it? Could there be an alternative use? I was thinking of allowing a number of boons based on the effect.
