Comm disruptors question

Can someone give me a correct explanation as to how comms disruptors work?

Comm Disruptors deals -2 to CQ checks & to attempt any special actions must past a CQ 6 check.

Example: Bisaria - Range:15", Forward Arc, Comms Disruptor, 4AD, SAP

If one or more Bisaria hits the same ship with more than 1 Comm Disruptor AD in the same turn is the -2 to CQ cumulative?

To be honest I don't know the effect you're talking about, but isn't there some rule that states that effects aren't cumulative. I think it was in the first of the rule book, probably speaking about damage and criticals, but I think the rule is global.

The effect does not stack. Those comm disruptors can really mess up a special order fleet, they have to pass the cq even on orders which work automaticly
